The gallery-style white walls of the Lander Centre were bare until Collegian David Hill (Hamilton/Williams 1964-1968) loaned four artworks to St Paul’s Collegiate School for display. As part of this loan, St Paul’s decided to develop its art space further, creating the St Paul’s Art Collection.
The collection reflects the school's creative history, with a number of works by Collegians who have gone on to become professional artists, some significant donations to the school, and others specifically commissioned to represent the school’s morals and values.
The St Pau’s Art Collection also operates as a way to introduce students to the outside world of art. It is important that the school features artworks throughout the grounds that acknowledge who we are as a community, both past, present and future.
We welcome you to come and personally view the St Paul's Art Collection at the school or alternatively, you can view it online below by clicking on the images.
We hope you enjoy the collection.
